2 reasons why you must collimate the x-ray beam
1. To minimize the amount of radiation to patients and reduce scatter radiation.
2. Allows radiograph that show clear structural delineation and increased contrast by:
a. preventing secondary rad’n from unnecessary exposing surrounding tissues so that the film fog may be avoided.
b. reducing scatter rad’n thereby producing a short-scale radiograph.

Summer Days

There was a time when I'd spent most of my idle times soaking up under the glare of the summer sun. My friends ans I would go to the nearby beach and stayed there up until the sun would set. During the day, I'd enjoy splashing in the burning salty sea waves and savor the freedom of swimming as much as possible with friends. We'd usually spent half of the day staring off into the horizon as our ultimate past time and simply watch and talk the people frolic on the shore.
i miss having the time to do that. I miss wearing my floral beach short and my super tight speedo trunk (LOL). Don't get me wrong; I LOVE MY JOB. It's just that being younger afforded me the freedom to chill out and quench the hot- weather summer to the max.
Nowadays, when the going gets tough and hectic, escapades and getaways come last on the list. It's okay to ignore the benefits of the well-deserved summer breaks especially if you're working far from your friends and a regular 5-day a week schedule.

The thing is, being too immersed in our daily grind stunts, inhibits us from seeing the bigger picture. It eats up our enthusiasm and failed us to chill the stress out for a while. What's good about summer is that, it reminds us of the importance of a little pampering, some lazy time and a little reflection.
on that note, I implore you to take a full lung expiration and think of your vacation, it's not yet over for a summer escapade..you deserve it!
Finally Made it!
It started with first step and first glance at the facade of the tall, white-painted two-storey building facing south as if declining the rays of the sun in the east. It's going to be my school soon! I'd brought with me my high school report card, good moral certificate and entrance exam result. I joined the group of students forming a line in each department to where I am assigned to affix their signatures. My last stop; the registrar. This is it! This is really is it! I'm finally enrolled for college.

That was the start of my four years of hardships, struggles and perils as a student. Not a typical student though. I've been through all worries and anxieties..grades? not really! Financial? exactly! I've been through all uncertainties especially every enrollment. Question like; Can I enroll for the next semester?, Where I'll be getting money for my tuition? and the like.Though I have a scholarship, but that wasn't enough to suffice my studies.
But I believe that everything happens for a reason. What the reason then??
Sad but challenging..

Despite of all insufficiencies I emerged as a successful graduate. Last March 2011, I finally had my diploma, worn my toga and kiss goodbye to end all my sacrifices. It was an overwhelming moment to march on the stage and hearing the people around you saying CONGRATULATIONS...! and I finally say "it's nice to Grow thick anodyne flowers, but it's nicer to watch out when it blooms, at the right perfect time.

Color of Friendship
Color of Friendship is one of the most talked-about issues especially in the season of love-the February Valentines' Day celebration. The color of friendship is traditionally YELLOW, and RED for a romantic love relationship.
The yellow symbolizes your current friendship while red shows that you are interested in moving towards a relationship.
