Oleophobic Coating

Oleophobic Coating is another trend for 3G iPhone users..the first i read this word, i thought of "fear" from the word Phobia..hehehe, anyway this Oleophobic Coating is “fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating” on screens was something that is missing in earlier iPhones. Since the iPhone is a touch screen device and that it has no external keyboard, most of the time the screen would look smudged since users would be using their finger more frequently to access features on the device. Add to this is the fact that when you make phone calls, the screen gets pressed to your cheeks. As a result natural skin oils from both cheek and fingers accumulate on the screen.
The fingerprint and oil marks are not very noticeable, but when you tilt the iphone 3GS at a certain position or if you look at it from a certain distance you can notice that it’s there.
